Take Your Momma to CIE Spring Ride 8
Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) has been chosen, once again, as the official tow boat for CIE Spring Ride 8. Everyone and their mother will be at the Bass Lake Pines Resort May 6-8 with CIE as they kick off the 2011 west coast wakeboarding season. Mothers Day weekend 2011 marks the 8th Annual CIE Spring Ride.
Every spring, hundreds of wakeboarders from all of the country attend the CIE Spring Ride to wakeboard, meet new friends and watch their favorite professional riders charge massive double-ups for greenbacks. For the last seven years, Spring Ride has hosted the biggest professional wake contest in California. For 2011, it’s the only pro contest on the West Coast.
The event will start Friday with a dodge ball tournament and BBQ hosted by Hyperlite. Saturday morning the double up contest begins, followed by tug-o-war tournament hosted by CWB and a raffle with thousands of dollars in prizes.
Like the previous two years, the 2011 event will be hosted at Bass Lake Pines Resort. This venue offers comfortable cabin-like accommodations in a deep-woods setting. There is plenty of parking, boat slips for rent, excellent food and friendly staff.
The invitation-only rider list includes Andrew Adkison, Gabe Lucas, Rusty Malinoski, Malibu Boats' Phillip Soven, Tony Carroll, Trevor Maur, Derek Cook, Jason Callen and prior Spring Ride champs Ricky G and Axis Wake's Randall Harris.
CIE Spring Ride is sponsored by Malibu Boats, CWB, Hyperlite, Phalanx, Chucktronics Audio, NVS Tower Speakers, Crispy Bikinis, Twisted Candi Bikinis, Wakeroots Ride Shop, Front Side Films, CIRE Boardshorts and the Pines Resort at Bass Lake.
