Phil Soven Signs Deal With CTRL Board Co.

After spending most of his nearly 24 years of life riding a Liquid Force wakeboard, Phillip Soven, the kid they used to call 'Froggy,' one of the most dominant competitive riders to ever strap on a board and the star of MTV's WakeBrothers, is pointing his career in another direction. Phillip recently announced his move to a new board sponsor, CTRL Board Co.

Freddie Wayne Ranked #1 Collegiate Wakeboarder!

As seen on wakeworld.com

Freddie is just a freshman at the University of Florida and, arguably, the best rider to hit the collegiate wake scene so far. He is originally from Orlando, Florida and lovestearing up Lake Whippoorwill. Many of you may already know this skilled rider from the Junior Pro King of Wake Tour where he placed at multiple stops. He also killed it at Wake Games the past few years!

Freddie rocks the 137 Murray with System bindings and Webb boots and is sponsored by Hyperlite, Malibu Boats, Performance Ski and Surf, Body Glove, Shred Ready and Liquid Sports Marine. He attended three collegiate competitions this year and absolutely destroyed it. He took first overall in Empire Wake’s Atlanta and Orlando stops and also took first at USA Wakeboard’s Southeast Regionals. With Freddie’s big nose grab heel 9, toeside roll to blind, backside 7 and all of his great style and tech, he is hard for any rider to take down. He is currently working on an indy double tantrum, which is one of the most difficult tricks in the sport. You can definitely plan on seeing Freddie at the Empire Wake nationals in Vegas and at the Alt Games. This kid is definitely going places in the sport!

Freedom Wake Park Opens In Orlando!

COBE & TARAH MIKACICH ANNOUNCE NEW SITE FOR WAKEBOARDING & WAKESURFING LESSONS

After running a highly successful private coaching program for several years, Cobe and Tarah Mikacich have opened up a new location for wakeboarding in Orlando called Freedom Wake Park.
Cobe, one of the sport’s best ambassadors, has been working on this location for five months, and has been diligent with permits and regulations, because he knew this was the best venue. “It’s been a lot of work, but it feels good to know we have found the best spot for our students.” Cobe said. “This site offers perfect conditions for wakeboarding and wakesurfing and we have plans to set up a System 2.0 cableway with rails.”
It’s no secret that Cobe and Tarah have been training some of the best junior riders on the scene, as many of them are on the podium at King Of Wake events across the nation. “Developing junior riders has definitely been an area of focus for us,” Tarah said. “But we also help all kinds of riders from all over the world — from first timers to people training for the Pro Tour. And with wakesurfing’s growth, we’re going to offer specialized wakesurfing camps and have fun with that side of the sport as well.”
With a Malibu WAKESETTER VLX and full gear lineup from O’Brien, Freedom Wake Park is fully operational, so be sure to contact them for any inquiries. Also supporting the park is Ten 80, SAYiWON’T, Shred Ready, Indo Board, Hangtyte, B4BC and Great Lakes Boat Top.
