This Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) photo was sent to us from Bruce at Tilly’s Marine. It's a shot of Larry the dog cruising on Lake Mead in his owner's 05 Wakesetter VLX. Willem Jonker, proud owner of Larry and this boat, purchased his Malibu through Tilly's in Ventura, CA. Looks like they have a ton of fun!
Thank you to Willem for taking the photo and to Bruce for sharing it with us. Too cute!

Carwin's Come Boating With Me #Contest
Thanks to Shane Carwin (@ShaneCarwin) Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) woke up to an inbox full of Twitter follows and a TweetDeck full of mentions this morning. At first we thought our account had been hacked and then we looked closer. Turns out the UFC's Interim Heavyweight Title holder, Shane, posted a contest on the Carwin Community Web Site late last night that is spurring all of this Malibu Boats Twitter activity. Wow!
Shane's Come Boating With Me Contest -----------
I wanted to thank my sponsor Malibu Boats for making a dream of mine come true. So what I cane up with is this:
I will fly one person from anywhere in the Continental US to come to Greeley and go boating with me, my family and my VLX Wakesetter by Malibu Boats. The winner also gets two nights in a hotel and $100.00 spending cash. We will hit the lakes and have a blast.
To enter you have to follow Malibu Boats on Twitter.com (www.Twitter.com/Malibuboats) and tweet this "#Boating is Better with @Malibuboats" if you tell them VLX Shane sent you you will be entered to win a secondary prize.
This is a great company who builds an exceptional product. I am proud to be on Team Malibu Boats.
I will select the winner when they reach 5000 followers so spread the word. They only have 1800 followers right now so this is a big request for a big prize.
- Carwin
---------------
This is really cool Shane! We are so happy that you're excited about your VLX. You are a great fighter and we are certainly pulling for you July 3rd against Lesnar, but you are an even better guy! Your fan community proves this. They are an amazing group as well! #TeamCarwin & #CarwinArmy rock! We are proud to have you all as part of the Malibu Boats Family and we are even more proud to be a part of Team Carwin.

Pride and Joy!
This Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) photo of Rob & Jill Nelson's 2009 Wakesetter 23 LSV, is taken near Lake Conroe in Texas. Rob tell us "After a day on the lake and a quick wipedown with Z6. I was trying to capture the gel coat shine of the boat with two coats of Zaino Bros. polish applied over the winter and then using Z6 as my quick detailer after pulling the boat out of the water. The shine wouldn't be possible without flawless gelcoat during construction".
Rob's Malibu is his "pride and Joy" and he will be sending more pictures this summer!! Thanks Rob we will be looking for more great photo's!

Malibu Blanket Winner Turns Giver
Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) blanket winner, Michael Berzins, recently presented his friend Doug, recovering a snowboard accident, with the one-of-a-kind throw. Michael posted this photo and these words on the Malibu Boats Facebook Fan Page.
"Here's a picture of the blanket winner, Doug. Finally home from the hospital and on the mend. Thank you again for the blanket and the smile (and tears) that it brought."
This is the fan page comment that won Micheal the blanket and the opportunity to present it to his friend.
Michael Berzins (Malibu Facebook Fan)
I need that blanket to give to a buddy of mine (who also owns a Malibu) who recently hit a tree while snowboarding. He is still in ICU at St. Charles Hospital in Bend, OR. When he finally gets to come home he is gonna have a lot of sitting around (and healing) to do. That blanket would make the healing process a little less painful. You can verify this story on TheMalibuCrew's website.
You're a great friend Michael! Our best wishes are with you, Doug and your families. We are proud to call people like you a part of the Malibu Boats Family.

Biggest #UFC Fight Ever Announced
Malibu boat (@MalibuBoats) owner and UFC Interim Hvywght Champ, Shane Carwin (@ShaneCarwin) #TeamCarwin, has been announced as one half of what's being touted as the biggest fight in UFC history. Carwin will fight Heavyweight Title holder Brock Lesnar on July 3 for UFC 116 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Malibu Boats is pulling for you, Shane! You can do it!
The Examiner.com posted this story yesterday by John Livingston on the impending battle.
As expected, an Ultimate Fighting Championship World Heavyweight Title match has been officially announced for UFC 116 Lesnar vs. Carwin between current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and interim heavyweight title holder Shane Carwin on July 3 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This fight was originally schedule for Nov. 9, 2009 for UFC 106, and then again for January’s UFC 108 card before Lesnar was sidelined–and eventually hospitalized– with an extreme case of diverticulitis.
While waiting for his inevitable title match with Lesnar (4-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC), Carwin (12-0, 4-0) went out and earned himself an interim title in the heavyweight division via a first round knockout victory against Frank Mir (13-5).
Carwin took time to speak with me once before the Mir fight and not only did he take time to discus the Katelyn Brand fundraiser for this May 22 at Max Muscle Loveland, but he also took time out of his busy schedule to talk with me after the Mir fight about his training preparations for Lesnar.
JOHN LIVINGSTON EXCLUSIVE 1 on 1 INTERVIEW WITH UFC INTERIM HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION SHANE CARWIN ON APRIL 14, 2010
John Livingston After defeating Mir I saw that you were right back in Colorado and in the gym. What is your primary focus in training currently? Are you beginning to prepare specifically for Lesnar?
Shane Carwin Yes I am starting my training back up but I have not kicked off the “official” training camp for Brock. I am just getting back into the groove and going over with my coaches things that we can fix and improve.
JL Can you just talk about how frantic the media requests have been for you and how busy you have been since UFC 111?
SC It was pretty intense for a bit but my management company is the absolute best at what they do and they filter out a lot of request. In the future you are going to see me limit press coverage and just communicate direct with my fans on my website.
JL Is the best part of holding the interim title that you know you officially finally have your shot at Lesnar?
SC Yeah, I felt like I earned my title shot before only to have an illness derail the plans. Then I had to fight a World class fighter in Frank to keep my place in line. So now I know for sure I am the number one contender for the UFC Heavyweight Title.
JL Can you describe what it was like your first week back in Colorado after your UFC 111 win against Mir? Are you getting stopped all over town for pictures etc?
SC I was back at work (the next) Monday, but yeah more people have been aware of me. It is fine I love my fans so it does not bother me if they come up and say hi.
JL What will your mind set be during your full training camp for Lesnar; are you going to enjoy the weeks leading up to July 3 or will it be intense and business like?
SC Yes I love training, and that is really what makes this work for me. I love MMA and training for fights. The competition day is just the carrot at the end of the stick.
The key thing is having an amazing team of supporters. From the fans, coaches and down to the Sponsors. Coach Bowling, Coach Trevor Wittman, Coach Amal Easton and so many others help me get to where I am now. Companies like Malibu Boats, MTX Audio, Max Muscle, Good4u Beverages, PerformanceMMA.com and Blowoutcards.com really help me complete the journey.
Here is what the UFC 116 card looks like so far; many Colorado fighters other than Carwin will be featured including middleweight contender Nate Marquardt and TUF 11 finalist Brendan Schaub.
