Malibu Brooke at the Sac Boat Show
This photo was taken at the Sacramento Boat Show this past weekend. Robert and Brooke Beland decided to take a Father-daughter trip to the show to check out the new '09 Malibu boats. Brooke was partial to the new Wakesetter VLX Larson Marine had on the floor. Maybe that was because her dad couldn't stop checking it out! Good to see you two at the show!

New '09 Corvette Boat on Display at Malibu Boats
A new 2009 Malibu Corvette Limited Edition Sport-V is making its home in the front office at Malibu Boats headquarters in Central California. This white Vette Boat has Corvette Red interior. It is an amazing sight to see! We pulled this boat in a few weeks ago and it has been wowing visitors everyday since.

Ride the Wake Movie with Malibu Boats Available on DVD
This Ride the Wake trailer gives you a quick look at the new movie from Central Film Company and The Evans-Masters Company. The DVD is now available for rent or purchase from retailers worldwide including Best Buy, FYE, Amazon.com, Buy.com and Netflix.
Ride the Wake is about a hot up-and-coming wakeboarder who struggles to compete in a male dominated sport with no support from her emotionally distant father and a best friend who encourages her to just "hook up" with a guy. When it comes to the local wakeboarding scene Jessica is a true star, but being on top of a major sport proves to be as stressful as it is exciting. With her intense focus on training, Jessica has never learned the craft of handling boys, until a professional snowboarder shows up on her doorstep asking for wakeboarding lessons, and ends up teaching her a thing or two about love.
The riding in this movie is pulled by Malibu Wakesetters and the actual riding is done by Malibu Pro Team riders like World Champion Dallas Friday.

Malibu Boats Official Relentless Wakestock Tow Boat
Malibu Boats is the new official tow boat of Relentless Wakestock a huge event that goes off in the UK every year. Malibu Boats will be towing the event for the next three years. This news has been posted all over the web. We found it on AllianceWake.com already.The official UK importer of Malibu Boats, D2 Marine, are based on the waters edge in Torquay on the south coast of England and service the entire UK for sales and after service care. Dave Webster from D2 Marine says: "We are all exited at the prospect of a long term involvement with Wakestock. As far as we are concerned this is the most important event on the European calendar and we intend a very pro-active involvement with the existing team. In addition to providing the tow boat we will be exhibiting our latest models on land and will have several support Malibu's on the water"
We will be announcing the members of the Malibu Boats Pro Team who will be attending the event soon. We expect them to light-up the United Kingdom just like they do the US. They will join an international field of athletes competing for the most converted prize in the sport. The UK riders will want their Wakstock title back after 3 North American’s stood on the podium last year! Will Nick Davies, Dan Nott, Jonty Green or Marc Rossiter be able to clinch it back? Or will one of Malibu's US Team keep the Relentless Wakestock prize in the States?

Bake's Marine Celebrates 20 Years with Malibu Boats
These paragraphs were taken from the People section of the February Malibu Boats E-newsletter.
On the opening day of The Big Seattle Boat Show, Malibu Boats surprised Bill Baker, owner of Bake’s Marine, with an award, a jacket and a gathering commemorating his 20 years as a Malibu Boats dealer. One of Malibu’s top-ten dealers in sales, Bake’s Marine is more than a business partner to the World’s #1 selling towboat manufacturer. Bill Baker and the entire crew at Bake’s Marine are part of the Malibu Boats Family and this honor reflected that level of respect.
“I really felt honored to get the award and I was totally surprised,” Baker admitted.
Baker had no idea Mark Gibbs, Malibu Boats Northwestern Regional Sales Manager, helped coordinate the special event for him. The Bake’s Marine boat show booth was busting with Malibu boat owners, boat dealers, industry reps, Bake’s employees and representatives from the National Marine Trade Assoc. (NMTA). Michael Campbell, President of the NMTA, made a very moving speech about Baker. Campbell has known Baker for years and did a great job congratulating him. Gibbs also made a short speech and presented Baker with a leather jacket and custom trophy from Malibu Boats. Mike Sanchez, Malibu Boats Warranty and Customer Service Director, also flew in for the ceremony. The crowd cheered Bake’s Marine and toasted champagne to commemorate the milestone.
