Euler Family's New Wakesetter

This Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) photo was sent to us from our Customer Service Manager Kerri Johns at our TN factory. The Euler Family Chasitie, Roger, Caleb and Lauren recently took a factory tour with Kerri and this is what they had to say. “A few weeks ago my husband and children took a personal tour of the Malibu Tennessee plant with you. We have been talking about the tour ever since we have came back home and have a greater respect and understanding of the quality construction of our new Wakesetter 23 LSV. We appreciate the individual time you spent with us and answering our questions. It was one of the highlights of our vacation. We were happy the weather came around and we were able to use our new boat at Lake Norris. Thank you for your time, the great t-shirts, and stickers!”

Thank you Kerri and Euler Family for sharing your experience and photo with us!

If you capture or come across a cool Malibu Boats-related photo like this one let us know. We would love to post it on the Malibu Boats Blog and Flickr Channel. We will even Tweet about it on Twitter and add it to the ever-changing Malibu Boats Screen Saver. You can also submit your photo or video through our Malibu iPhone App.

E-mail blog@malibuboats.com with links and/or images. Also make sure to include the name of the person who took the shot and give us a short description of the photo's contents. If you do not know this information and you are only forwarding a link, we can track it down. Thanks!

Funny Malibu Decal Stories

For the past couple of Mondays Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) has given away a Malibu Monday Prize to get the Malibu Nation off to a great week. This past Monday we decided to give away a Stainless Malibu Boats Emblem. The winner of the emblem would have to share a fun Malibu vehicle decal story. We posted the Malibu Monday Prize details on Facebook, Twitter and TheMalibuCrew.com. We asked Malibu boats enthusiasts to post their stories and/or photos in these areas. Check out the Malibu Facebook Fan Page and this thread on TheMalibuCrew.com for a look at some of the responses. There are some pretty good ones. In fact we had two hilarious stories that we couldn't choose between so we actually ended up giving away two Stainless Malibu Boats Emblems.

Winner #1: Levi Clarke (Malibu Crew Member)
There isn't a Malibu dealership around where I live. So when I see one I HAVE to stop. My wife and I were headed down to North Carolina and we swung into a dealership. I'm pretty sure it was in Mass (East Coast Flightcraft), but I'm not 100%sure. I bought a Malibu decal, a pretty big one for my wifes TSX. I borrowed a tape measure and soap pen from one of the techs out back. I spent about 15 mins marking up the rear window of the car to make sure it was centered and level. (I know I'm a little nuts)

I finally stick the thing on, peel off the transfer, take a step back and admire my handy work. At that exact moment I noticed 2 things at once.

1) Someone had put Mass plates on my VT car???

2) Some woman is walking at me like she owns my car??

Holy crap, I just spent 20 mins putting a sticker on someone elses Silver TSX!

Worst part about it, the lady says to me "Thanks" and burns outta the parking lot!

Winner #2: (Facebook Fan)
A few years ago, I was coming out of a movie theater headed toward my SUV when I heard someone say "You got a Malibu?". I turned and noticed this guy standing next to his truck parked a couple spaces down. He asked me that q...uestion because of the Malibu decal on the back window of my SUV. I replied "I have the best boat on the planet, do you know them?". Turns out he had a Response and we talked about Bu's for a minute or so. The whole time we talked this guy looked really familiar, but I couldn't place him. As we were wrapping it up we shook hands. I told him my name, and he told me his. That's when it hit me. He was a proctologist that I had seen a few months earlier, for an "issue" I had. Out of context I didn't recognize him. Needless to say the last time we saw each other we weren't "shaking hands". This awkward moment wouldn't have happened without my proudly displayed Malibu Boats decal on the back window of my SUV. :-)

We would like to thank the winning Malibu boat owners as well as all of the other participants for posting these great stories and making our Monday more fun.

Malibu Boats Earns 3rd Consecutive NMMA CSI Award

Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) is being recognized for outstanding customer service again this year with the 2010 Marine Industry CSI Award from NMMA.

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced Malibu Boats as the recipient of the 2010 Marine Industry CSI Award. That makes it 3 years in a row for the world’s best selling ski and wakeboard boat manufacturer. This latest award joins Malibu's 19 Boat of the Year Awards in the trophy cabinet. Malibu Boats was recognized for excellence in customer satisfaction, as part of NMMA’s Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program.

Malibu Boats will be acknowledged during the annual Industry Breakfast at the 2010 International Boat Builders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), Tuesday, September 28 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

The Marine Industry CSI Awards program honors participating manufacturers that actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve the customer. Award recipients achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past year, based on information provided by customers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010. Participating manufacturers must survey all new boat buyers during this period. For this reporting period, the program surveyed more than 40,000 consumers.

“We are extremely proud to receive this award three years in a row, but the real reward, for us, is the strong customer relationships and brand loyalty we enjoy,” explains Paul Singer, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Malibu Boats. “We have a great team in place who pride themselves on serving the customer completely.”

“It’s important to be able to recognize boat and engine manufacturers that have maintained a focus on customer satisfaction as it’s the cornerstone of our industry’s future,” notes Terry Leitz, NMMA’s director of CSI programs. “CSI Award recipients make a commitment to improve the customer experience thereby reinforcing not only their own reputation for quality but for the industry as a whole.”

NMMA launched its CSI program in 2001 to provide boat and engine manufacturers with an independently measured, cost-effective means of improving customer satisfaction in the boating industry. Since the program’s inception, more than 600,000 surveys have been sent out to new boat and engine customers, allowing participating manufacturers to monitor customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis, and to benchmark themselves against the industry and their competitors.

My Life My Boat - Building-up Owners

My Life My Boat MovementInstead of spending 2010 simply promoting themselves, the crew at Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) is promoting their customers with the “My Life My Boat” movement. Malibu Boats wants to give back to boat owners who further the Malibu Difference. The My Life My Boat Movement was born from this goal. These owners promote Malibu Boats and water sports by exhibiting truth on the water. Many of them also selflessly support their communities and their country. This is why Malibu wants to reward them with some well-deserved exposure. Malibu will shine a light on the passions that make up these dedicated owners’ lives on and off the water in an effort to give back to them. Malibu Boats is committing to publicize charities, businesses, events and people dear to the hearts of select Malibu boat owners through digital media as a way of saying thank you.

Just like the words “My Life” come first in the My Life My Boat movement title, Malibu Boats is putting the lives of their family of boat owners first. The World’s No. 1 selling water sports boat manufacturer is dimming the spotlight on Malibu Boats and shinning it on the customers that have helped elevate this boat brand to the top. But the focus of this attention will not be restricted to water sports or Malibu Boats related subjects. Malibu Boats wants to give back to these ambassadors of the Malibu Difference by bringing some exposure and promotion to the passions in their lives, water-related or not.

2009 Malibu Wakesetter VLX owner, Attila Tassi loves to boat and is an amazing mouthpiece for Malibu Boats, but his true passion lies with helping others. Tassi is the founder of Horton’s Heroes, a organization he formed to support injured service personnel undergoing therapy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital; to try to bring some sense of normalcy to their lives; to show these men and women that people do care. Malibu Boats would like to reward Tassi for his dedication to United States Service Men and Women by drawing more attention to Horton’s Heroes through the use of the Malibu Boats digital and social media channels.

Monthly, beginning January 2010, Malibu Boats will feature a Malibu boat owner as a part of the My Life My Boat movement. Each month will begin with a new Malibu boat owner story added to the Malibu Boats Blog detailing the passions in these individuals’ lives. This blog post will accompany a national news release as well as photos displayed on Malibu Boats Flickr.com and/or video posted on Malibu’s YouTube Channel. Malibu Boats will fill the month with regular tweets about the My Life My Boat honoree along with facebook status and event updates. Malibu Boat has also carved out a section of their monthly e-newsletter to feature My Life My Boat feature boat owners. Malibu will also look for other ways to generate the maximum exposure for each My Life My Boat owner recognized.

Malibu dealers, partners, pro team members and employees are being given the opportunity to nominate boat owners they feel embody the Malibu Difference in the spirit of My Life My Boat. While Malibu Boats will not be able to honor every Malibu boat owner with My Life My Boat promotion, they hope to give as much back as they can to their family of owners through this movement.
