Saving Screens With Dynamic Malibu Boat Images

Malibu Boats 2010 Brochure CoverMalibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) is introducing a screen saver that updates with new Malibu-related images automatically. At Malibu Boats we capture and receive some amazing photography. These images are featured in our brochure, posted on our web site, uploaded to the Malibu Boats flickr.com channel and more. Whether they are images captured for Malibu by a professional photographer, photos provided to us by industry partners or shots submitted by Malibu owners, we are proud to display them. That's why we were excited when Nick Murto, founder of the online wakeboard community WakeFirst.com (@WakeFirst) and co-owner of the internet marketing firm Seven2 (@Seven2), came to us with the idea of an auto-updating screen saver as another way to share Malibu-related photography as it becomes available. Murto, a Wakesetter VLX owner himself, customized this screen saver for Malibu Boats and we have made it available for download for free.

Cool Malibu Sunset on the Desert

Malibu Owners Carol & Steve CuttingCarol & Steve Cutting submitted this Malibu (@malibuboats) Sunset shot as a FavPic candidate for September. This photo was taken as they were headed to Lake Powell in Utah with their 2001 Malibu Sunsetter LXI from their home in Manhattan Beach, CA. The shot was taken near Torrey, Utah.

The cuttings also sent us a couple fun photos of their dog Ariel in their new 2008 Wakesetter VTX. Ariel is a Chocolate Lab who loves their Malibu. Carol wrote, "Just ask if she wants to go in the boat and she heads to the garage."

Since the Cuttings now own a 2008 Wakesetter VTX. The Sunsetter in this great sunset photo is now owned by Carol's brother and his family.

Visit the Malibu Boats Flickr.com site to see more of the Cutting's Malibu photos.

Carol signed her email to us this way, "We are definitely a Malibu family. Love you guys."

Thanks Carol! We are so happy to have you a part of the family. Keep the photos coming. They're great!

Roxy Boxer in Her Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV

The picture was taken at Amon Carter Lake in Bowie, Texas by Julie and Stephen Ramos. The Ramos Family owns a 2008 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV. The star of this shot, Roxy is a boxer and according to Stephen, "she LOVES," going out in her Malibu boat. "She loves to stand in the bow and look over the front of the boat most of the time, but when someone is boarding we cannot keep her from sitting on the back sun pad while she watches everyone ride."

Stephen was reminded of this shot he took of his Malibu boat sitting in a cove with his dog Roxy looking out when he saw the Malibu Roxy dog shot we posted a couple of weeks ago on the Malibu Boats Blog.

Stephen concluded. "As you can tell, boating is a way of life for us and we love enjoying it with Roxy! And since none of us are really good at wakeboarding, she’s the entertainment!"

Stephen signed his e-mail to us, this way... "Two grateful Malibu owners (Julie and Stephen Ramos)" We at Malibu Boats are the grateful ones.

Thank you, Stephen, Julie and especially Roxy! This is a great photo and we are proud to post it on our site. We are also proud to have the Ramos Family as part of the Malibu Boats Family!

Malibu Fav Pic Submission for August: Fogged In VTX

Here's a Fav Pic submission we received for August. We came across this sweet shot in one of the Malibu Boats facebook friend's albums. Amy and Chad Gordon took this shot on the maiden voyage of their new 08 Malibu Boats Wakesetter VTX. They were spending the 4th of July at Kerr Lake in North Carolina.

According to Amy's e-mail, "We literally picked it up Wednesday night and left Friday morning for 10 days at Kerr Lake." Amy continued, "Cause who can be at the lake for 10 days without a Malibu?"

Amy took this photo when the fog rolled in one morning during their vacation on Kerr Lake. The fog cut Chad's morning wakeboard set short, but it did make for a pretty sweet photo.

Thank you for submitting this picture, Amy! It's beautiful! We will add it to the photos we are choosing from for the Malibu Boats favorite pic for the month of August.

If you capture or come across a cool Malibu Boats-related photo let us know. We would love to post it here as well as on the Malibu Boats Blog and Flickr Channel. We will even Tweet about it on Twitter. E-mail blog@malibuboats.com with links and/or images. Also make sure to include the name of the person who took the shot and give us a short description of the photo's contents.
