Jaquess Strikes Gold at Pan Ams in Chile

Team Malibu Boats (@MalibuBoats) Pro Water Skier Regina Jaquess earned four gold medals in the 2010 Pan American Water Ski Championships. Jaquess left the biennial event, Nov. 22-28, in San Bernardo, Chile with an Elite Team Gold as well as golds in women's slalom, tricks and jumping. For good measure she threw a Silver in for Overall. But Jaquess wasn't alone. Athletes on the six U.S. teams combined to win 67 individual medals, including 26 of a possible 48 gold medals.

The U.S. Elite Water Ski Team won the overall team gold medal, tallying 8,259.41 points. Canada earned the silver medal with 7,904.69 points and Chile earned the bronze medal with 6,421.69 points.

Jaquess won gold medals in women’s slalom (1 buoy at 39-1/2 feet off), tricks (7,830 points) and jumping (167 feet), and the silver medal in overall (2,867.52 points).

Way to go, Regina! We're pulling for you! Keep up the great work!
